That is how Bing community looks in Firefox 3 under Ubuntu Linux:

Why I'm not surprised ? 🙂

It seems Microsoft continue to care only about their market share and income, but not about their users, if these users use alternative (and rival, of course) browsers. Thanks Google, there is a better alternative :]

A new version, 4.52, of DataparkSearch Engine has been released. Changes since version 4.51 are:

  • Busy timemout has been increased for SQLite.
  • Fixes for sub-document recoding and content-length calculation for a document with sub-documents.
  • A fix for incomplete passing text items from a subdocument to parent document.
  • The command parser has been fixed for case when a section in allin<section>: operator contains character '_' or '-'.
  • SkipHrefIn command has been added. Use it to skip some HTML tags from new href lookup.
  • SEASections command has been added. Use it to specify the list of sections which are used to construct SEA summary.
  • A possible trap on an empty document has been fixed.
  • A Disallow command in robots.txt doesn't lead to document removal from database anymore.
  • An error has been fixed in uncompression of big files.
  • Quffix command has been added.
  • Searchd cleans-up now the search cache on config loading/reloading.
  • A bug in stored check-up has been fixed.
  • Time zone processing has been added for Last-Modified header and meta.
  • MakePrefixes command has been added. Use it to produce all prefixes for words in a document. This is suitable for making suggestions.

Preamble: + + K - is the new logo of Transtelekom, the Russian long distance telecoms operator.

Yes, Yandex (the most popular search engine in Russia) has recently announced the fix to the problem of finding C++ in its search engine. And even they have fixed this bug in Yandex.Server (a version of their search engine similar to Google Mini). But it look like they came to the problem pretty formal, as the Yandex is unable to find ++Рљ.

To be honest, the Google can not find ++Рљ as well ...

It shall be interesting to see who of these two bitter rivals on the Russian search market solve the problem first. Meanwhile the DataparkSearch Engine can find ++Рљ well. 🙂

The list of top 256 words of Belgium (used on the home page of sites in .be TLD) has been made in addition to the lists of Russian, Australian and New Zealandian words. The principle of construction of this list is the same as used previously for such lists. However, the ability to index redirects and multilingual sites had been improved.
